Command.com is stupid when it comes to redirection. The OS does provide it,
but command.com doesn't make it available to you. One approach is to do it
with a C program. Here's the one i've been using:

cs/mingw32/misc/redir.zip

This zip file has source code, a compiled binary and documentation.

Or search for "redir Mumit Khan" in your favorite search engine.

But this only redirect stdout.  stderr still goes to the shell.
