Is this intentional, I mean adding .: to srcdir? I assume you know Ant
expects srcdir to point to the root of a class hierarchy where the
directory structure matches the package structure.

If ${src.dir} points to a directory somewhere below . your .java files
will be found twice, once inside . and once in ${src.dir} - and while
${srcdir} might be set up to suit Ant's expectations . will probably
not.
