Subject RE: Build file on different OS

Hi bjorn,
Fact is that ant was made to give you a cross platform build tool. A
simple way to do what you are trying would be :
a) have a property called lets say "appserver.dir" and set its value to some
frequently used value.
	<property name="appserver.dir"  value="/usr/local/orion" />
b) use this property in the "deploy" target that you possible have already
to identify the deployment directory
c) on WINNT run the build file using
	ant -buildfile buildwhatever.xml -Dappserver.dir=c:/orion ....
and on linux run it using
	ant -buildfile buildwhatever.xml -Dappserver.dir=/usr/local/orion
....
Hope this helps

M

Subject: Build file on different OS

How do I write a build file that works under
Windows NT and Linux? I would like to deploy
an *.ear file to the Orion application server.
In NT it is installed under c:\orion and in
Linux in /usr/local/orion.

/Björn
