      <exclude name="\\trud-dev\wwwroot\tru_build\images\**"/>

will exclude directory and all sup-directories while 

      <exclude name="\\trud-dev\wwwroot\tru_build\images\*"/>

will just exclude that directory but will still include
sub-directories.

is the above sufficient ?
