Subject [jira] Updated: (IVY-1003) Add support for transitive retrieval of source and javadoc artifacts
Date Thu, 12 Nov 2009 22:10:39 GMT

Nicolas Lalevée updated IVY-1003:

    Attachment: IVY-1003-r835571.patch

I tried to implement: transitive-sources->transitive-sources(sources)
which was discussed there:

But some test case fail, especially
When there is no pom, there is no configuration declared apart from the default one, which
makes the transitive-sources->transitive-sources(sources) fail.
So we probably need more than I did there with the provided patch. We will need the "none"
configuration explained by Xavier in the discussion pointed in the above link: "a special
fallback conf which means no dependency conf if the required one does not exist".

> Currently, IVY only supports retrieving 'jar' artifacts transitively (using the 'transitive'
attribute of a dependency), as documented [here|].
> It would be very nice if IVY would also support transitive retrieval of the source and
javadoc artifacts.
> This would require two extra attributes for the dependency element:
> * transitive-source
> * transitive-javadoc
> To ensure backwards compatibility, these attributes should be optional and should default
to false.
