Subject [jira] Commented: (IVYDE-138) Allow ivy settings to be relative to project path
Date Wed, 07 Oct 2009 15:20:31 GMT

Ben Turner commented on IVYDE-138:
----------------------------------

I currently have the setup of:

c:\src\build\ivyconf.xml
c:\src\ivy-prop-file
c:\src\project-name\...my eclipse project

In the Ivy conf file, I import "..\ivy-prop-file" currently, but would much rather specify
this in the IvyDE Property files section.

But I have tried Ivy Settings Path = project://project-name/../ivy-prop-file or project:///../ivy-prop-file
and neither of these seem to work.
In addition I have tried to set properties file in a similar way and no joy.

So some mechanism to allow relative properties files outside the project would be excellent
- is that this JIRA or a new issue ?

> Sometimes it's convenient to push out settings files inside the project , to insure that
all devs have them configured correctly. At the moment I can only specify an absolute path
for the settings file. I would welcome being able to set it relative to the project.
> For me personally it would be enough to have a ${project.dir} variable, no need for GUI.
