Mike Baranczak commented on IVY-1030:
-------------------------------------

This is still not fixed, and it's very annoying. See: http://ant.apache.org/ivy/history/latest-milestone/tutorial/start.html

> Limit the width of running text in documentation
> ------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: IVY-1030
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IVY-1030
> Project: Ivy
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: Documentation
> Affects Versions: 2.0, trunk
> Reporter: Steve Appling
>
> On pages with wide code samples, example output or pictures, the lines of normal running
text stretch equally wide, which is detrimental to the text's legibility. Lines should therefore
be limited to a reasonable length for running text.
> This is a duplicate of IVY-666, which is marked as FIXED. I did not know how to re-open
this, so I added a new issue.
> This doesn't seem to be resolved to me. See the current main tutorial page at http://ant.apache.org/ivy/history/latest-release/tutorial/start.html.
The long lines in the examples from log/hello-ivy-1.txt and hello-ivy-2.txt are still causing
the window to have a minimum width of 1466 px in Firefox and 1638 px in IE. This makes it
very hard to read on many monitors.
> I marked this as major since it makes the main tutorial hard to read. You shouldn't
have to scroll horizontally to read it.
