It would be extremely useful if I could directly set a option for specified files that should go in the archive with the windows EOL or the Unix EOL or MAC EOL. 2. Also It would be extremely useful if I could specify file(s) that can go in the archive with a different name other than stored on local disk. 3. Maybe a possibility to remove a given basedir from a property as the basedir for the newly created archive Reasons for these 2 or 3 enhancement suggests: platform-dependencies Actually I must always preparing, copying etc. before I could use the tar task, so the prefix-option isnt that useful for me as it could be.
