Indeed, it seems to be possible. Here's what wicket guys use:
.htaccess
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RewriteEngine on

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://wicket.apache.org/$1 [R,L]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty easy to adapt to our needs :-)

So I will move Ivy site if nobody objects.
