           Summary: Make it easier to specify optional dependencies
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.7Alpha (nightly)
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Build Process
        AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
        ReportedBy: william.barker@wilshire.com

At the moment, it is extremely complex to include all of the optional
dependancies that Ant may build on the CP before invoking 'build install'. It
would be very helpful if the Ant build.xml defined the ${${component}.jar}
properties and added them to the classpath, so that I could just define in
my .ant.properties something like:
  junit.jar=${download.home}/junit3.8.1/junit.jar
