           Summary: Using var expansion in <include> tags fails in <javac>
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.6.5
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Windows 2000
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Core tasks
        AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
        ReportedBy: plbyrd@bellsouth.net

I'm using the <VAR> task from Ant-Contrib. When using a <var> value in the
<include> tags of a <javac> task, the expansion happens too late in the process
for javac to correctly align dependencies.

Example, You have the following structure:

/java/d1/class1.java
/java/d1/class2.java
/java/d2/class3.java

Class1 depends on class3, which depends on class2.

You can correctly compile this scenerio with this code:

<javac srcdir="/java">
  <include name="d1/*.java" />
  <include name="d2/*.java" />
</javac>

However, the following code fails.

<var name="D1" value="d1" />
<var name="D2" value="d2" />
<javac srcdir="/java">
  <include name="${D1}/*.java" />
  <include name="${D2}/*.java" />
</javac>

You will get in error in javac stating that the dependency that class3 could not
be found.
