This can be done with ResourceCollections, in CVS HEAD for Ant 1.7 .

The path can be expressed in terms of filesets.

<path id="p">
  <fileset dir="lookhere" />
  <fileset dir="lookthere" />
  <fileset dir="lookelsewhere" />
</path>

You can limit the files matched with the restrict collection:

<restrict id="r">
  <path refid="p" />
  <choose-a-resource-selector />
</restrict>

If you need to put this in a property, use pathconvert:

<pathconvert refid="r" property="r" />

Voila!
