           Summary: ftp systemTypeKey ought to have an "unknown" or
                    "automatic" value
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.7Alpha (nightly)
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Optional Tasks
        AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
        ReportedBy: stevel@apache.org

If you set a systemTypeKey you can explicitly choose the system. But what if you
want to have property-file driven deployment; you also need a "unknown" option
to tell the system to work it out itself, so that you can set
  ftp.systemTypeKey=unknown
in the properties file and feed it in to the <ftp> task.
