           Summary: javac using GCJ compiler ignores includeJavaRuntime
                    attribute
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.6.3beta1
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Core
        AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
        ReportedBy: brett@3sp.com

When using the javac task with the GCJ compiler, the boot classpath is always
provided to GCJ, regardless of the value of the 'includeJavaRuntime' attribute.

This seems to prevent gcj from being able to use its default classpath (i.e.
using libgcj classes only).

Trying to compile to a native executable using the following task ..

    <target name="compile" depends="clean">
        <mkdir dir="${build.out.classes}"/>
        <mkdir dir="${build.out.exe}"/>
        <javac classpathref="flipper.classpath" includeJavaRuntime="no"
                includeAntRuntime="yes" compiler="gcj"
                destdir="${build.out.classes}">
            <src path="${build.src}"/>
            <include name="**/*.java" />
            <compilerarg line="-march=i386 --main=org.tanktarta.flipper.Flipper
-lgtkjava-${javagnome.gtk.version} -lgnomejava-${javagnome.gnome.version}
-lgladejava-${javagnome.gnome.version} -lgconfjava-${javagnome.gnome.version} -o
${build.out.exe}/flipper"/>
        </javac>
    </target>

-- SNIP

Results in the following error ...

-- SNIP

[javac] java/lang/Object.java:0: fatal error: the `java.lang.Object' that was
found in `/opt/java/j2sdk1.4.2_05/jre/lib/rt.jar' didn't have the special
zero-length `gnu.gcj.gcj-compiled' attribute. This generally means that your
classpath is incorrectly set. Use `info gcj "Input Options"' to see the info
page describing how to set the classpath
    [javac] compilation terminated.
