I didn't say that your patch was the same as the one in bug 32645, only the problem
is the same (multiple reports for the same test class).

Please try CVS HEAD and you'll see that your problem went away.
The solution is different and it retains backwards compatibility for stylesheets.

Your patch modifies the meaning of testsuite's name attribute which would lead
to unexpected results in many reports.  Say the file name is A.B.C.xml and the
original suite name was my.Test.  Without your patch package name is my and
classname is Test. With it, package name suddenly becomes my.Test-A.B and
classname becomes C.
