Some of us will question any new task for its usefulness, I find
myself a lot in that camp lately. I still don't think I understand
the motivation well, and I'm not sure whether I'd feel better if only
ProjectComponents were Cloneable (possible). It's not something I can
explain very well, it just feels wrong.

I wouldn't -1 anything because of a feeling. After all a -1 without a
technical explanation is void 8-)
You'd stand a good chance of not getting valid -1s, not sure whether
you'd collect 3 +1s
