Logically a set can be composed of other sets.  I have two filesets that I want to compose
into one.  The 
meaning is quite clear.  Why can't I do it?

(Yes, I could (I think) take my two file sets, create independent patternsets for each of
them, and then create a 
new fileset with the two patternsets.  I think.  Can I put more than one patternset in a fileset?
 Ah, no, but I 
could create a nested patternset (thanks to Erik) and then create a fileset from that.  Which
doubles the 
number of XML artifacts I have and adds to the complexity, not to mention that I must name
each patternset 
and fileset, making my namespace bigger.  But it would work, I think.)
