--regarding optional dependencies, depending on
targets from files <import>ed with
optional="true"--for which one solution could be
expanding properties in depends.  Maybe it could even
be time to revisit that decision in light of the
advent of <import>.  There could be other
alternatives...

Possibly not too, but the more you know...
(I didn't finish that because now that I think about
it I don't know what exactly happens the more you
know)
