Ant freezes when CPU load is high

I have seen ant freeze a number of times - less recently with
java 1.4.2_03 and fedora.
I used SIGQUIT on some of the occasions, but nothing was
obvious.
Looking at your stack and the code, there seems to be no object.wait() at
Project#fireTargetFinished().

Some other people have mentioned that this may a problem
with java ant the native posix threads in RH 9 and Fedora.

Try using:
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1
before running ant.

Or try using the Blackdown-1.4.2-rc1 java port.
