Just to clarify, you said that you think:

<myns:mytask>
  <myns:mytype />
</myns:mytask>

should be legal, as should:

<myns:mytask xmlns="uri-corresponding-to-myns">
  <mytype />
</myns:mytask>

but not:

<myns:mytask>
  <mytype />
</myns:mytask>

as in beta2?
