------- Additional Comments From antoine@apache.org  2003-07-16 17:42 -------
I have had an exchange of emails direct with kannan, and he says that his
problem is only that his ant build files are expecting the prefix not be used in
creating the property name (he says it was like that in ant 1.5) and that it has
changed between 1.5 and 1.5.3.
        <tstamp prefix="start">
            <format property="todayk"
pattern="MMM_dd"/>
        </tstamp>
        <!-- ${start.todayk} works -->
        <echo message="today is ${todayk}"/>
So I am closing the bug because kannan understands that the behavior of ant 1.5
was buggy, not of ant 1.5.3
