Subject Re: [PATCH] Filterset should fail if it can't find token
Date Mon, 30 Jun 2003 21:10:31 GMT

About 1.5 years ago, Joe Dane submitted a patch to filterset to this list:

http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=ant-dev&m=101175229116978&w=2

The patch added an additional parameter ("abortmissing"), which if
specified, would allow the filterset to abort if a token was missing.
The patch is backwards compatible -- it does not affect existing usage
of the task, but merely adds an extra option which may be used or ignored.

This is critical to our usage of filterset, because we rely on ant for
our application deployment, and a missing value means a broken
application. We would like to abort the build if an unknown token is found.

I searched the list archive and could not find any response to the patch
submission. I would very much appreciate if this patch could be
(re)considered, and a decision made as to whether it should go into the
ant core. Please let me know if there's anything else I need to do to
help this process along.

Thanks,
Jim Newsham
