          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
          Priority: Other
         Component: Core tasks
        AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
        ReportedBy: andrew.ferguson@arm.com

hi,

it'd be very useful for us if the property task could take an optional /url/
attribute just like it takes a /file/ attribute at the moment. Its a very
simple change since you can use java.net.URL.openStream() and pass this to a
Properties object.

thanks,
Andrew
