What you see is probably due to the fact that new File("./com").exists() is true
on Windows even if the directory is called COM.  So it's more about Windows and
Java's case insensitivity than Ant's.

In general, Ant will try to preserve case - but it won't recreate a directory that
already exists - and the only way to check says that "com" already exists on your
machine.

WONTFIX really means CANTFIX here.
