cvs task, attribute passfile= problem.

Summary: cvs task, attribute passfile= problem.
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.5.1
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Core tasks
        AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
        ReportedBy: eu@dukascopy.com

By default: if passfile is absent, then use $HOME/.cvspass.
But: if passfile is empty (passfile=""), then use current dir!!!
Why? I expect by default.

checkout-server:
      [cvs] Using cvs passfile: /home/eu/cvs-work/test-ant
[cvs] cvs checkout: cannot read /home/eu/cvs-work/test-ant: Is a directory
[cvs] cvs checkout: authorization failed: server santana rejected access
to /src for user eu
[cvs] cvs checkout: used empty password; try "cvs login" with a real
password
