jar task with update="yes" and no manifest attribute overwrites existing manifest

Summary: jar task with update="yes" and no manifest attribute
                    overwrites existing manifest
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.5.1
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Core tasks
        AssignedTo: ant-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: georg.ragaller@nse.de

If the <jar> task of ant 1.5.1 performs an update and no manifest attribute is
specified, it replaces an existing MANIFEST.MF with the ant supplied default
manifest. This break's ant 1.4 buildfiles.
