Maybe so.

But overloading the meaning of a task is something Ant avoids these days. And 
having the Ant code modified to accept your changes is a lot more difficult to 
having a single external task in a single Java file with only Ant dependencies 
doing the job nicely is easily added to more versions of Ant.

Combined with the extension I added to <subant> to extract the proper 
dependency info in a user-extendable fashion, and you have something that 
significantly different that <ant>.

So I guess we just disagree on this issue. --DD
