execute tasks as a specified user

           Summary: execute tasks as a specified user
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.5.1
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
          Priority: Other
         Component: Core tasks
        AssignedTo: ant-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: kmtang@yahoo.com

On Unix or Linux system, some operations, like installation, can only be done
by user root, and it would be unwise to run the entire ANT script as root
because of these operations. In some cases, we need to run the same ANT script
under different users due to permission. It will be great if ANT can provide a
tag so that tasks within the tag will be executed under the user specified. For
example,

<context user="xyz">

   <!-- tasks will be executed by userid xyz -->

</context>

Of course, authentication mechanism is required and I'll let you figure this
out.
