There have been some changes made since this bug was originally submitted and
since 1.5.  Users should try to build from the latest sources if they want these
fixes.

I have not had a chance to check with version 5.2, so would welcome further
reports on this.

I don't think label as a class has been deprecated but some of the constructors
were, if I recall correctly.  However the version of the docs that I had offered
no guidance as to what the recommended way to do it was, so I left the
deprecated method in
