We are on the same page here, I just didn't express myself well enough it
seems. I love the extension points in Ant, and I'm using them. The point is
of course that the extension points other than tasks/types are not handled
in a consistent manner, and are very limited (case in point being described
in more details at http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=14834).
I would hope that <antlib> would eventually allow defining easily all those
extension points (not just tasks/types).
That Nicola Ken says your [embed] proposal works great is very good news,
and I'm also very happy to hear Magesh is talking about a solution for the
consistent extension point handling. This is all going in the right
