messageLogged() causes infinite loop?

           Summary: messageLogged() causes infinite loop?
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.4.1
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Other
        AssignedTo: ant-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: ljnelson94@alumni.amherst.edu

I wrote a BuildListener whose messageLogged() method did a System.out.println
(event.getMessage()) (just for testing). When I added this listener on the
command line, e.g.:

ant compile -listener SimpleListener

...the screen output was "Setting project property: ant.java.version -> 1.3"
about 1000 times and then the program ran out of stack space and crashed.

Doing System.err.println(message) did not result in the same problem.

I can post the build file if needed; it's a pretty standard usage of the javac
task.

Cheers,
Laird
