<manifest> does not support file attribute

------- Additional Comments From ortwin.glueck@nose.ch  2002-11-21 12:24 -------
I am using <manifest> tag nested inside a <jar> element:

    <jar destfile="${dist.dir}/${dist.jar}">
      <fileset dir="${classes.dir}" includes="ch/**"/>
      <fileset dir="${lib.dir}"/>
      <manifest>
        <attribute name="Class-Path" value="${class.path}"/>
        <attribute name="Main-Class" value="${main.class}"/>
      </manifest>
    </jar>

Oh, I just found this in the <jar> doc:
"This element [manifest] is identical to the manifest task, but its file and
mode attributes will be ignored."

Maybe this should read "file and mode attribute must be omitted". A similar
statement in the <manifest> documentation is missing.
