pvcs task: wrong option (-r) specified for get (should be -v)

------- Additional Comments From snewton@io.com 2002-10-23 15:37 -------
The proposed change would be fine if it could be tweaked to preserve
backwards-compatibility. Although imperfectly named the label attribute is
unfortunately now expected to behave according to the semantics of the -r option
to GET. This means that there are build files that depend on the label being
able to specify a version number and/or a label, and if the label begins with a
number that it must be escaped with a backslash.

Changing the label attribute to use -v while introducing a new, differently
named attribute to handle the old behavior is not a step to take without
consideration for backwards compatibility with existing build files.

A possible middle way would be to introduce the revision attribute as a synonym
for label in the next release and make a note in the documentation that in a
future revision the behavior of the label task may change. This would allow
some time for migration of existing build files, plus feedback from others using
this who might have concerns or contributions.
