I'm involved somewhat, although I have stayed away from their latest
refactorings and am still running the home-built version from the
proposal/xdocs/lib directory prior to their massive changes.

I'll forward your message over to them.

And, yes, XDoclet is quite useful and cool.  The proposal/xdocs generates
not only documentation but also the taskdef and typedef properties files
that we currently manually maintain.  There will still be issues of
hand-made documentation being far more flexible than generated docs - but
that can improve over time and more use.
