It depends on the JVM, more specifically the order by which methods will be
returned Class.getMethods.  When switching from 1.2 to 1.3 I once noticed that
I'd get the method in reverse order (you can see that when you run JUnit, in
one VM the test methods will be sorted alphabetically in ascending order, the
other one will use descending order).

I haven't even tried to recreate the problem as I know Kurt is right ;-)

My vote would go for making Expand extend Task directly, BTW.
