ANT on WinXP and environment

           Summary: ANT on WinXP and environment
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.4.1
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Critical
          Priority: Other
         Component: Core
        AssignedTo: ant-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: hattila@energosoft.co.yu

If I have <property environment="env"/> in build.xml I get some strange
behevior.

Content build.xml file:

<project name="environment_bug" default="bug">

	<property environment="env"/>

	<target name="bug">
		<echo message="${env.JAVA_HOME}"/>
	</target>

</project>

When I run ant from command line i get one dialog with title: 16 bit MS-DOS
Subsystem with text C:\Windows\system32\ntvdm.exe Error while setting up
environment for the application. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

When I choose Close in Command Prompt I see following text:

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

D:\tmp>ant
Buildfile: build.xml

BUILD FAILED

D:\tmp\build.xml:3: java.lang.NullPointerException

Total time: 2 minutes 35 seconds
D:\tmp>

What I make wrong or how can I use environment properties from ANT.
