In Ant, properties are immutable - once set they cannot be changed. In the 
depends case, all of the targets run in the one "context" and so the first one 
to run gets to set the value - var is set to 'a'.

In the antcall situation, each target is running in a fresh context and 
therefore there is no attempt to re-set the value.

This is expected behaviour.
