There is now an <echoproperties> task to save all/some of the properties to a 
property file; you can then load these in to your app; all you need to pass 
along would be the name of the file to load.

Would that work, or is your need more generic?


...I am a bit dubious about passing all properties down, as the code would 
need to filter out those ones like java.home that shouldnt propagate.
