Checkpoints for builds

           Summary: Checkpoints for builds
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.4.1
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
          Priority: Other
         Component: Core
        AssignedTo: ant-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: Mark.Rovinsky@trilogy.com

Is it possible to add the notion of checkpoints to Ant?

For example, suppose that you have a very large build which fails after a small
change. With checkpoints, you would be able to resume the build after the
latest 'valid' checkpoint.
