Could you please retry with Ant 1.4.

I've never had any problems with javadoc being a symlink on Linux, even with
Ant 1.3, maybe javadoc has not been on your PATH at all?  With Ant 1.4, Ant will
try to execute JAVA_HOME/bin/javadoc and not rely on your PATH.
