I agree -- only I'd recommend also including the person who sent the mail in the reply as well, so they know where it went and don't end up sending more mail to ant-dev saying "I asked about this but never saw a reply..." (P.S. I think part of the problem stems from the fact that for a long time, there was only ant-dev, so people got used to having that as the only source for questions to get answered.)
