This is fine; I just was unaware of a previous capability, and decided to
fix it. :)

Thanks; I'll withdraw buildnumber, in light of previous functionality
existing.

Bring up index.html via CVS to see the latest version:
 http://jakarta.apache.org/cvsweb/index.cgi/jakarta-ant/docs/
(Click on the version number, then on "(as text)" to bring it up in its
formatted state.)

Click on the "Optional Tasks" link, then on "PropertyFile" -- you'll see
there is functionality to increment (as well as decrement) a number.

(Didn't mean to shoot down your first task contribution, just wanted to
point you to what's already there. If you have improvements you can make
to it, those are always welcome.)
