Subject javadoc utility
Date Wed, 24 May 2000 21:12:13 GMT

Hello,

    I've added the following snippet to my build.xml:

<property name="javadoc.home"  value="doc/api"/>
<property name="project"       value="portal"/>

<target name="javadoc" depends="core">
    <mkdir dir="${javadoc.home}"/>
    <javadoc packagenames="portal.*"
             sourcepath="src"
             classpath="${java.class.path}"
             destdir="${javadoc.home}"
             private="false"
             doctitle="${project}"
             windowtitle="${project} API"
             version="true"
             use="true"/>
  </target>

    When I run this in verbose mode, I get the following output:

[exec] /usr/local/ant/bin/antRun /home/portal/portal javadoc -classpath
"/usr/local/src/jdk1.2.2/lib/tools.jar:/home/novotny/java-cog/globus.jar:/home/novotny/java-cog/lib/ldap.jar:/home/novotny/java-cog/lib/providerutil.jar:/home/novotny/java-cog/lib/jndi.jar:.:lib/globus.jar:/usr/local/tomcat/lib/servlet.jar:/usr/local/tomcat/lib/ant.jar:/usr/local/tomcat/lib/xml.jar:/usr/local/tomcat/lib/jasper.jar:lib/jndi.jar:lib/providerutil.jar:lib/ldap.jar:lib/iaik_jce_full.jar:lib/iaik_ssl.jar:."
-sourcepath "src" -d "/home/portal/portal/doc/api" -version -author -use
-windowtitle "portal API" -doctitle "portal" "portal"
[error] javadoc: No package, class, or source file found named portal.
[exec] 1 error

    Looking at the last line, it should replace "portal" with something
like "src/*.java" and that would work- where is it getting "portal" and
how can I change it in build.xml?

    Many thanks, Jason
