Subject Changing ambari-server web port
Date Thu, 06 Mar 2014 05:21:20 GMT
Hi,

I am trying to install ambari server 1.4.3. Port 8080 is already in use so I am trying to
change it. I *think* that the change is done by adding the following line /etc/ambari-server/conf/
ambari.properties:

client.api.port=8000

ambari-server restart yields the following log messages:

netstat -tupln | grep 8000 shows no listener before starting ambari server and a listener
once it has been started:

[root@node10 ambari-server]# netstat -tupln | grep 8000
[root@node10 ambari-server]# ambari-server start

What am I missing? And where is the ambari.properties file documented?

Thanks,

Gunnar

The person that says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.
