Eric Yang commented on AMBARI-21664:
------------------------------------

There appears to be some difference on how to use metrics between Ambari 2.2 and Ambari 2.5.2
that metrics needs to select aggregate type for rendering graph. For Namenode Connection
Load graph, the same data can be displayed by modifying the widget definition from:

rpc.rpc.NumOpenConnections to rpc.rpc.NumOpenConnections.rate

The same applies to the Namenode RPC graph. This can be a documentation item to patch the
widgets, but it would be nice to patch widgets automatically.

> After upgrading from IOP 4.2 to HDP 2.6 with Ambari 2.5.2, there are two metrics widget
don't show the right results.
> Namenode RPC and Namenode Connection Load graph don't show any data. This might be caused
by different implementation to fetch metrics data for those two graphs in IOP. Check if there
is a way to bridge the gap by updating widget information or document this and ask user to
remove the widget.
