Subject [jira] [Created] (AMBARI-20416) Need some way to know a plan is vectorized
Date Mon, 13 Mar 2017 11:54:41 GMT
Pallav Kulshreshtha created AMBARI-20416:
--------------------------------------------

Summary: Need some way to know a plan is vectorized
                 Key: AMBARI-20416
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-20416
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: ambari-views
    Affects Versions: 2.5.0
            Reporter: Pallav Kulshreshtha
            Assignee: Pallav Kulshreshtha
            Priority: Critical
             Fix For: 2.5.0

Determining if a query is vectorized is a key use case of the explain plan and people will
need this to work from the visual explain plan.
In early mockups, plans that did not vectorize would be drawn with a different color as a
warning.
At a minimum, the vectorization information is currently being stripped out of the tooltip
and there's really no reason to do that. A simple approach could be to just stop stripping
it out of the tooltip.
