Subject [jira] [Created] (AMBARI-19100) Grant hbase:hadoop user 777 permissions on directory corresponding to hbase bucketcache ioengine parameter
Date Mon, 05 Dec 2016 23:58:58 GMT
Gaurav Kanade created AMBARI-19100:
--------------------------------------

Summary: Grant hbase:hadoop user 777 permissions on directory corresponding to
hbase bucketcache ioengine parameter
                 Key: AMBARI-19100
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-19100
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: stacks
            Reporter: Gaurav Kanade
            Priority: Blocker
             Fix For: 2.4.1

[AMBARI-16056] provided support for bucket caching parameter hbase.bucketcache.ioengine so
that if this parameter points to a file location, ambari-agent creates this with permissions
755 for hadoop:hbase user. The ask here is to create this folder with 777 permissions. This
is because in secure HBase, when hbase hbck command is run with -repair as hbase user option
it needs to access this location to write a temporary cache.data file
