status : show the version of the package
versions : show the currently installed versions
packages : show the individual package names

Causes the ambari agent to report an "invalid state transition", which is recorded in the
ambari-server database.

On host role YARN_CLIENT in invalid state.
Invalid transition. Invalid event: HOST_SVCCOMP_OP_IN_PROGRESS at INSTALL_FAILED

This results in broken components, in my case clients, and henceforth ambari is unable to
manage configs on that machine.

The symptoms are very similar to reports found [here|]
and [here|].
