Subject [jira] [Commented] (AMBARI-12732) Fail to execute Hive/Pig view in Ambari with RA040 I/O error
Date Wed, 30 Sep 2015 01:28:04 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-12732?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14936221#comment-14936221

Sachin Sinha commented on AMBARI-12732:
---------------------------------------

We were having the same issue with a user account. I think this happens if the user hasn't
invoked hive shell even once. We asked the user that was having this problem to login to hive
shell and then try accessing the Hive view through Ambari. As soon as the hive shell was invoked,
the error went away. That tells me that something is missing from the user profile which Ambari
is looking for if the user hasn't logged into hive shell even once.
