Zachary Blanco commented on AMBARI-12763:
-----------------------------------------

[~jaimin] I've created a patch attached here. With recent unit test failures I don't believe
the Hadoop QA is accurate. My command line results from some of the tests is the following.

 6506 tests complete (9 seconds)
 94 tests pending

I've manually tested this end-to-end in a 2 node cluster with no HA to ensure that the normal
functionality is still there. I've done the same in the 3 node cluster as well. Then I also
tested HDFS HA mode in the 3 node cluster and disabled namenodes to ensure that the URLs
that the macro/templating used were correct as well and that the Knox configuration with WebHDFS
HA worked.

> In the Apache Knox service screen > configuration > advanced topology the templating/macros
used does automatically add multiple namenode URLs if WebHDFS HA is enabled.
> We should changed the template from
>

> to something that's simple like:
> {{webhdfs_service_urls}}
> This will automatically add URLs if there are multiple namenodes - thus allowing one
less step for setting up HA for WebHDFS in Knox
